Bob Evans

I got free tickets to go and see Bob Evans at the myspace music studio. It was such an intimate setting, less then 50 people in a marquee tent, just chilling around, listening to Bob Evans (Kevin Mitchell) sing songs and crack jokes with his fellow bandmember.

He played some of his latest songs such as 'Pasha Bulker', 'Brother, O Brother' and 'Hands Me Down'. He sounds exactly or maybe even better then the recordings of these songs. His bandmate (Mal) played this amazing instrument that consisted of a keyboard plus a drumkit. I can't imagine how difficult it would be to play both at one time. Props to him.

Towards the end of the 45min gig, they played some of their older songs such as 'Friend' and 'Don't You Think It's Time'. I love love love his old stuff. Overall, such a great gig and it was all for free! Too good.

Hollow Man Quote

So Superman is out flying around one day, horny as hell, and he sees Wonder Woman sunning herself naked on top of the Justice League. She's laying out there all naked and spread eagle, and Superman says, "I have GOT to get me some of that Wonder P***y." Then it occurs to him, he can just fly down, get in a few quick pumps, and be gone before anyone notices anything because he's Superman, right? So he flies down real quick, does his thing, and is gone in a flash. Wonder Woman sits up real quick and says, "What the hell was that?" The Invisible Man replies, "I don't know, but my arse is killing me." Hollow Man (2000)

Movie lessons tested

Lesson 1: ‘Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re going to get…’Forrest Gump (1994)

Irksome words of wisdom from Mrs Gump to her fleet-footed, slow-brained offspring.

Expert: Cadbury’s spokesperson

“We try our best to make each assortment the same. There will be give or take on one or two units. But, broadly, each box will feature the same proportions throughout.

The whole point of assorted chocolates is that whatever you like, someone else won’t – and whatever they don’t like, there’s always some Granny or Auntie who will. You’re trying to cover a broad spectrum.”

Verdict: Chocolate boxes are designed to be uniform and predictable. Not like life then.
